Flashpackers

Flashpacking and flashpacker are relatively new terms used to describe backpacking style and those that do. The flashpacker is often slightly older than your average backpacker and generally has a bigger budget - but they still want to avoid the packaged versions of their destinations. They are often professionals who will fly low-cost between cities rather than take cheaper overland travel. The flashpacker will also often avoid the 10 room dorms and prefer their own private accommodation.

And this is where we come in. The Majestic Minima Hotel - Adelaide's first self-check in hotel - provides single or twin share rooms with LCD TVs, in-room broadband, king size beds and ultra-modern private bathrooms for around $100 (usually between $89 and $110). The rooms are small (14 sqm) but very modern and comfortable. The property is self-check in (meaning you check in with credit card via a kiosk) but provides all the amenities you would expect - including 24-hour CCTV security, complimentary guest laundry, undercover secure parking if required, guest internet stations in the foyer, secure card access to all areas and a vending machine (including breakfast provisions).

So for a mini-room at a mini-price with all the comforts of a more expensive hotel - the Majestic Minima Hotel is ideal for those travelling in style but on a budget.
